Allow me to RE-introduce myself. My name is Dr. Brigid Scripa. I began my teaching career in 2005 at Abundant Life Academy. I have a Bachelor’s in History from SUNY Brockport and a Master’s in Education from Le Moyne College. Recently, I completed my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University! This was a huge accomplishment for me and I am so grateful for all of the support from family and friends along the way. I love traveling and have had the opportunity to participate in and lead several mission trips to Honduras, Costa Rica, and Kenya, where my passion for education and children collided in the most amazing way. Outside of my professional life, I am a proud Marine wife, mother of four, and a Buffalo Bills fan! While every other industry has made drastic, innovative changes, education is stuck in tradition. Scripa’s HOPE wants to bring a new thing to education. We plan on doing this through quality teaching, research-based practices, and thinking outside of the box. The next generation needs this. As we continue to grow, we have found that blending the best of traditional education with the best that homeschooling has to offer has yielded amazing results. Students benefit from individualized instruction in a caring and supportive environment, while still receiving the community and rigor that a traditional private school can offer. This homeschooling-hybrid option is bringing something new to CNY!
